You may soon be seeing Astral Tequila’s new “smart” bottles containing its award-winning spirit available in-store in efforts to engage with their consumers as well as deliver customized digital experiences through the use of smartphones. Known for his role as “The Most Interesting Man in The World,” Jonathan Goldsmith can be seen in an original video when consumers tap their smartphones to the new bottles of Astral Tequila in-store at the point of sale. Featuring NFC (near field communications) technology, these interactive bottles will be the first of their kind on the U.S market. Astral is collaborating with Thin Film Electronics ASA in order to effectively market their drink through this method.
