Strategic Outlook for Thinfilm's Memory Technology
Our focus is on applications using the Thinfilm Interactive Platform which consists of printed non-volatile memory tags and a reader/writer unit. The platform can be used for creating games and personalized toys highlighting player interactivity, and for connecting toys with a virtual online world. Online marketing offers, features and limited edition collections can also be created by using memory-enhanced value cards.
Medium- and longer-term
Thinfilm and its commercialization partners are actively developing item-level tags for fully printed integrated systems and smart packaging. Our strategy is to establish our memory technology as the natural choice for ubiquitous traceability and smart packaging.
